Little cafe of the main street in Berwick with amazing coffee and fresh scones and cakes. There's also a small light lunch menu with baguettes, flatbreads, paninis and other special dishes. Bowls of water are available at the front door ready for some furry customers. DoggiePubs popped in here and gives a definite paws up. Very friendly and extremely accommodating to Mum's fussy salad requests. Lots of cool floor space to stretch out long Lurcher legs.

Freshly roasted coffee, homemade cakes, toasties etc. Vegetarians and vegans catered for too, as well as gluten free. Free WiFi. Eco friendly. Whiled away a pleasant hour sampling different things on the menu, whilst our dog dozed after a long walk around the island.

BELFORD The Black Swan Hotel
Address: 1 Market Place, Belford, NE70 7ND
Tel: 01668 213266
Brilliant pub for dogs. Traditional hotel bar in a historic Northumberland village. The landlord Nigel is very welcoming to dogs, offering water and free treats. Pub needing some renovation and doesn't do food but sitting in front of the open real fire, listening to their eclectic but excellent taste in music with a good pint is well wort it. Not posh by any means but do give it a visit. We do every time we are in Belford. Taken over in 2016 Jane and Richard have created a fantastic pub where dogs are made as welcome as the guests. Jane and Richard are lovely people who tend to your every need be it stopping in the beautiful ensuite rooms for bed and breakfast, tucking into gorgeous food or enjoying the various ales on offer in addition to the pump favourites. Dogs are allowed to roam in the bar with water and treats unlimited. Dylan and Alfie the resident King Charles Spaniels greet every four legged visitor with as much affection as their owners. Want a dog friendly pub with great owners and great food and a great selection of ales in North Northumberland then look no further. Brilliant just brilliant.

Stars
Stars are awarded by YOU.
Please help us get the stars right, they indicate overall dog-friendliness. So a simple
pub may deserve 5 Stars, whereas a very smart gastropub may only receive 1, (or visa versa).
Stars represent Your Views, SO...
If you think that one of the listed pubs needs more or less Stars PLEASE just HOVER OVER Rate Pub link AND CLICK THE STARS. Your new rating will get sent to us.
Why have some pubs got no stars?
Because no one has told us yet how many it deserves! Please bear with us while we update the pubs, this may take a little while as there are OVER 7000!
As you can see we do need your help with the new dog-friendly ratings. This is an excellent excuse to visit all the pubs that are local to you and do some serious research. Ideally every pub should be ‘starred and iconned’. Woof, woof!
