border.gif (3K) DOGGIE PUBS
Find out where you and your best friend are welcome.

By their recommendations, like-minded people help to make DoggiePubs a useful, non-commercial guide to happy eating out with your dog.

Pubs get included by recommendation - they can't pay to be listed. Eager publicans earn their listings by being dog-friendly, that's all. Our reward is knowing how much this site is liked, and discovering more places where Millie will be welcome.

Probably the most well known pub in Beverley now owned by the Samuel Smiths brewery. It's made up of several small rooms and interlinking corridors, most rooms have open fires and gas lighting so are very cosy in the winter. All areas are dog friendly.

New tenants here and warm welcome still to dogs in the snug bar. 6 real ales, in this traditional country pub on the edge of the Westwood, which is very popular with dog walkers. Opening 11am-11pm Tuesday-Saturday, 12-10.30pm Sunday and 5-10.30pm on Monday. Very good homecooked food served The pub now has an open log fire, and plenty of traditional games such as Monopoly, backgammon and cards are on hand. Children are also welcome.

FLAMBOROUGH HEAD Headlands
star rating
Next to Flamborough Lighthouse and a short stroll from the beach, this is not really a pub - although the drinks are good. More of a restaurant cum gift shop! But the location is spectacular and the coastal walks nearby magnificent so well worth a visit even if you're not in the market for a gift.

On the edge of town in a peaceful setting, almost 200 years old, The Haven Arms is at the junction of several footpaths. There is adequate parking and no through traffic. Delightful and a great location for walking. Tables are provided out the front and a covered patio area at the back. The bar has lots of nooks and crannies with pool, darts and a TV where dogs are welcome with water and snacks provided. RAWCLIFFE Jemmy Hirst at the Rose & Crown

Food only on 'special' occasions. Crisps/Cheddars/ nuts etc always available and do have treats behind bar if requested. Wide variety of customers dogs visit. If your dog does not get on with regular / resident dogs then not welcome (but then that is unlikely to happen with a well behaved dog!) Next to riverbank which enables local walks.

Right in the middle of prime walking country, this pub knows how to cook great food and look after beer, including a great John Smith Cask.
