Originally the town house of the Earls of Shrewsbury, has served as an inn since the 18th century. Later John Lennon's grandmother, Annie Jane Millward, was born in the Bear and Billet in 1873. So you might meet a famous ghost.

This is an excellent pub for dog walkers and there is a large beer garden with a play area for kids - there is also a bouncy castle at weekends! Dogs are allowed inside the pub on the non carpeted areas.
